Sisyphus

Sisyphus takes inspiration from The Myth of Sisyphus. It’s my love and I, and we’re both pushing rocks up a mountain, side by side. Every day we do somewhat of the same thing; push, achieve and start back at the beginning of a new task (or during the workweek, clock in and await the weekend just to do it all again on Monday). It’s just one thing after the next and life never let up, but every day is a new day and we choose what to make of it. We’re happy, we’re thriving even though this shit ain’t easy, and we’re thankful…

Lyrics

Pushing up but I always come back down

But I'm feeling lovely when the rock rolls on back

And I do it over and over and over again

You could call me happy, ‘cause this life is lovely

I think anyone would say  it gets heavier every day

I want you to cheer me along

So baby stick by my side pushin’ yours up next to mine

There’s uncertainty but that's everything

And baby we learnin’ more, gettin’ to know more bout you

Cause it’s never either-or when you’re gettin’ to know me

We doin' the soul search while we buildin’ home

Pockets empty but the love is strong

It’s the primetime for crisis existential

We keep pushing up but we always come back down

But we feeling lovely when the rock rolls on back

And we do it over  and over and over again

You could call us happy

Cause this life is lovely
